Talking About Websites: Mobile Friendly

Mobile Friendly? What's That!

Mobile Friendly is something small web masters like me, sigh over and wish they had never heard of it and big time well educated companies rake in the money making old archaic sites sleek slim shiny new and Mobile Friendly. Simply put a Mobile Friendly site is a site whose text is legible on a cell phone and whose links (those doors to other rooms or other places altogether) are easily touched on a smart phone. If they are to close together the fat finger might press more than one and that would not be cool. A site whose images fit the screen whose all over look works well in the view port of a regular smart phone. View port? Is that like the glass on my cell phone? Or like the tiny little windows on a ship or plane? Well it is like the glass on the cell phone or rather the screen beneath that glass (careful dont drop that phone, glass isnt cheap to replace!) Those tiny little windows are called port holes not view ports. No the portal or screen size in which you view ... this post... is your view port. It comes in phone, tablet and lap or desk top sizes. If the code for the view port is on the basic page and the style sheet works for all your sizes or rather you have one sheet for each size and one sheet more to link them to the pages. (Sort of a many rings and one ring to bind them ala Lord of the Rings, so does this make that lord of sheets? or lord of the pages?) There you go a web metaphysical blog topic. Needless to say No Mobile Friendly NOT Google Friendly and if NOT Google Friendly then no Google ranking and if not that ... people may never know you exist on the internet. Should any one search engine be this powerful? Another web metaphysical blog topic!
