Talking about Web sites: Domains or Domain Names

Ok so they give the name tag and you stick it out there like a shingle or rather you put it on the front door. You might call that first page that opens up when you click into a website the front door or entry way. There up on the top or some other very conspicuous place you will have that name. The name tag will be part of the URL or Uniform Resource Location.

URL is where your front door is. Hosts dont really factor into a site, they just shut it down if your dont pay them regularly. As to the name tag, you will be wanting to keep that fee paid up too because some folks like to take over unclaimed name tags, or rather they will claim that coveted domain name you forgot to pay for and then you will be told you cant use it on your site anymore. Oops your front door just got changed. Bad for business and worse for those who were book marking you intending to stop by again.
