Guidestar is a service for non profit organizations that can assist them with fund raising and getting the word out about what they do. The above link also has a link to a FAQ page that will give more information than this site is providing. Basically create an account with them, then gather together what Guidestar needs to begin your registration. Once you go through and provide the required information you have options. You can be a Non-Participant, Bronze, Silver or Gold level member. With each member you are given a decal or badge that you can affix into your website and or printed literature. They have a wide range of services targetted to helping non-profits grow their revenues in fund raising and donations to grow their outreaches. ONLY in the Silver and Gold memberships will you have the opportunity to go to another site that works with them called Grassroots.org.
On December 1 2014 I had an online chat session with "Robin" at Guidestar. The "fee based" services they can provide, are OPTIONAL. They would have me recommend that you "go for the gold" by following the steps at each level. If you want to make use of the fee based services the greatest discounts are at the gold level. Remember that you will not get the free hosting at the Bronze level. Silver or higher is the only way to gain access to grassroots.org and the non-profit toolbox.
In conjunction with what Guidestar already will offer you at the Silver and Gold levels Grassroots offers more FREE services for the non-profit group. One of those services in their toolbox is the FREE web hosting by Blue Host.

Please note the reference to FTP access. This means either your "in house" webmaster can upload what you have had them create for your group that is currently online with a paid hosting facility and reload it Bluehost, remotely. If you are doing this yourself you can either use your software's FTP access or download a FTP loader like Filezilla ("do it yourself" webmasters please note that you want to download Filezilla from this link and not a server download, thank you)
Now if you are a small Non-Profit with a very small budget and are doing all your own web service and need help this is where I can come in.
If you are registered and if you show proof that you are recieving this free hosting package I cannot charge you a fee for my services. But I can ask you to allow me to place a "site serviced by" message at the bottom of your home page and to tell others about me. Christian run organizations I would appreciate prayer. Those things cost you nothing.
If you wish to donate that is fine but you will not be billed for services rendered.
For you this means you do NOT pay the mandatory minimum 10 hour site set up fee of 250.00 (USD) and you do NOT get charged at 25.00 per hour with either the capped 12 hour maximum or the full 25.00 per hour flat rate.
